Sarina Russo Institute hosts South Korean Delegation

 

On 18 June, Sarina Russo Institute (SRI) with James Cook University (JCU) Brisbane welcomed the South Korean delegation from the University Competitiveness Network (UCN) President Summit 2024. The visit aimed to showcase Queensland’s international education and training capabilities, particularly in the ELICOS and VET sectors.

Jimmy Lee, SRI’s International Relations Manager, highlighted the university’s strong ties with Korean universities, supporting students in securing jobs and living overseas, especially in Australia. JCU Brisbane offers programs like the ‘Holiday Program’ and ‘Global Internship’ to facilitate student entry with various visas.

Sarina Russo Group CEO, Kathleen Newcombe, expressed enthusiasm about the visit, stating, “Our vision is to help students achieve career success and improve their lives. We are delighted to be part of the international exchange programs run by the Korean government.”

During the visit, delegates engaged in discussions about international exchange programs and toured student dormitory facilities, which include a swimming pool, table tennis court, study rooms, and a music mixing room.

The visit highlighted the importance of international collaboration in education, fostering mutual growth between South Korea and Australia.
