Contribute to your community by offering your services for witnessing signatures on official documents, certifying copies of documents, ability to issue summons and warrants, justice examination orders, executing minor bench duties, bails and sureties as well as performing the other duties appropriate to their level of appointment.
This course give you the skills, knowledge for both generic and specific competencies to administer justice in Queensland. At the end of this course you will be a qualified Justice of the Peace (JP) and belong to a centuries-old system of voluntary legal officers.
Justice of the Peace (Qualified) will have more responsibility than a Commissioner for Declarations.
On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment from Sarina Russo Institute. The participant will make an application with the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (JAG) to obtain their Justice of the Peace (Qualified) Qualification.
